Marne Week - Racquetball

Soldiers from 3rd Infantry Division, compete in a racquetball tournament during the 3rd Infantry Division's Marne Week at Johnson Gym on Fort Stewart, Ga., Nov. 14, 2017. Marne Week is a celebration for Soldiers to compete in team sports and recreational group activities while honoring the division's service to the nation. This month marks the centennial anniversary of the Marne Division. Born out of World War I, the division has answered the nation's call for 100 years.

Marne Week - CSM Challenge

BAGRAM AIRFIELD, Afghanistan - Servicemembers leap over barbells during the first Marne Week event on Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, Nov. 14. The event consisted of a series of physical and mental challenges, including barbell presses, deadlifts, completing puzzles, learning unit history and many other obstacles. Marne Week is an annual, week-long competition hosted in honor of the 3rd Infantry Division's birthday, this year is the unit's centennial.

Hunter’s Co E, 2-3 Aviation defeats Stewart’s 530 Engineers

SFAB holds competition

Hunter Golf Course survives, thrives after hurricane arrives

On Oct. 7, Hurricane Matthew hit the Hunter Golf Club. Matthew left a path of destruction from the Caribbean all the way through North Carolina. Many courses in the greater Savannah area were closed due to storm damage.

Striving to win at life, golf

It was the second time Lt. Col. Ken Dwyer, the Hunter Army Airfield Garrison commander and his four-man team took second place in a Hunter garrison golf scramble since he became commander in June. Dwyer enjoys the monthly scrambles and the comradery with players but when it comes to losing the first-place trophy two-out-of-two- times, his competitive nature tells him to get out there and practice.
