Spartans convert to armored brigade

When the Department of the Army announced that the 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team of 3rd Infantry Division at Fort Stewart would become the U.S. Army's 15th Armored Brigade Combat Team, the Spartan team initiated the planning process and went straight to work.

Diamond Elementary shows off ‘shiny’ new building

The ground breaking for the facility began May of 2011 and features energy and environmentally sustainable capabilities, solar panel installation and is completely lit utilizing light emitting diode (LED) lighting. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers played an integral role in the construction of the building.

396th Conducts First Sustainment Gunnery

Soldiers with the 396th Composite Transportation Company, 87th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 3rd Infantry Division Sustainment Brigade conducted a sustainment gunnery on Aug. 25 as part of the Pyramid Focus exercise on Fort Stewart. This was their qualifying event before their culminating convoy live-fire exercise in September.
