Hunter holds 5th Aviation Executive Summit

Lt. Col. Mike Squires, Hunter Army Airfield garrison commander, welcomed the collective group of aviation unit representatives who gathered around the garrison conference table, May 17, to acknowledge best aviation practices and address airfield operational problems. Many had attended the four quarterly meetings held previously, where they voiced their concerns and issues and came to a consensus about how to fix them.

Every day is a day to remember our Fallen Comrades but Memorial Day is a day set aside dedicated to them. On Memorial Day weekend, May 27-29, there were several ceremonies dedicated to our Fallen Heroes and supported by units throughout the 3rd Infantry Division. From coastal Georgia to South Carolina, dog face Soldiers remembered and honored those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

Memorial Day weekend is usually regarded as the start of summer. It also kicks off our "100 days of Summer Safety" Campaign which ends with Labor Day. Historically, the Army experiences more fatal accidents during this "100 day" period than any other time during the year. 3CAB, Southside EMS work together to sustain skills

Emergency personnel are dispatched to the scene of an accident. Two people are critically injured and need to be rushed to the hospital. Locally, in Savannah, Georgia, the emergency personnel dispatched are paramedics from Southside Emergency Medical Services. However, in a deployed environment, the emergency personnel dispatched are flight paramedics from a medical evacuation company.
