48th IBCT train at Fort Polk

More than 4,500 Georgia Army National Guardsmen from throughout the peach state converged on the Joint Readiness Training Center located in Fort Polk, La. during the month of May to conduct rotation 18-07, the first of two Army National Guard JRTC rotations this calendar year, and the first brigade-sized rotation for Ga. Newest ABCT earns victory at Sullivan Cup

FORT BENNING, Ga. – The Sullivan Cup, a biennial competition to determine the best tank crew in the Army through a series of scored tests, finished today with Company B, 3rd Combined Arms Battalion, 67th Armor Regiment, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division from Fort Stewart, Georgia, earning the top spot May 4 here.

Honor Flight

For the 18th time since the inaugural Honor Flight on October 24, 2009, Honor Flight Savannah sponsored 24 military veterans from the local area with a trip to Washington, D.C. May 4 – 6 to see the various war memorials built and dedicated to honor their service and sacrifices in past wars.
